Privacy Policy
This policy explains how Vault handles your data. The short version is that your data is stored on your device and when you use AI features, only the data needed for that specific analysis is sent to our server, processed, and discarded immediately after the result is returned.
Data Storage
All your financial data is stored locally on your device. There are no user accounts, no remote databases, and no cloud sync. AI features send data to our server for processing but nothing is retained after the response is delivered.

Data Sent to Our Server
When you use AI powered features, the data needed for that specific analysis is sent to our server for processing. The server passes it to the AI model, returns the result, and discards the input. Nothing is stored after the response is delivered. Here is exactly what each feature sends:
Spending Audit
Transaction dates, descriptions, amounts, currencies, account names, and countries across all your accounts. Your base currency for reporting.
Statement Import
The bank statement file itself (CSV, PDF, XLS, XLSX, or TXT), the file name, the account currency, country, and bank name. Used when local parsing cannot detect the format.
Transaction Categorization
Transaction descriptions and amounts for uncategorized transactions.
Subscription Detection
Transaction dates, descriptions, amounts, and currencies to identify recurring charges.
Outreach
Your profile description (the text you write about yourself and your goals) and the names of people from previous batches to avoid repeats.
Investment Ideas
The amount you want to invest, your risk tolerance, your base currency, and optional context about your financial goals.
Retirement Strategy
Your current age, target retirement age, monthly passive income goal, base currency, and your top merchants and spending categories with totals and transaction counts.
Asset Valuation
Asset name, category, description, country, address, currency, purchase price, purchase date, and any clarification answers from follow up questions.
Crypto Balances
Public wallet addresses and chain types (EVM, Solana, or Bitcoin). No private keys are ever sent.
Onboarding Quiz
Your quiz answers including age range, household size, gender, number of financial institutions, net worth band, cash clarity, subscription spending estimate, cross border complexity, cash flow, retirement gap, emergency fund status, financial goals, and network growth interest. Also includes a session ID, device locale, timezone, and app version.
External Services
Live pricing
Vault fetches live cryptocurrency prices and exchange rates to display accurate portfolio values. These requests contain wallet addresses and currency codes only. No personal or financial data is included.
Subscription management
In-app purchases and subscriptions are processed through Apple StoreKit. Vault does not handle or store any payment information.
What We Do Not Do

Data Deletion
Because all data is stored on your device, deleting the app removes all your data permanently. You can also delete individual accounts, wallets, assets, and insight history from within the app at any time.
Children
Vault is not directed at children under the age of 13 and does not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to This Policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
